Indian Head Massage

As the name suggests, the Indian Head Massage (IHM) is a form of massage created in India thousands of years ago that focuses on the head, shoulders and neck. It's a deeply relaxing massage that allows the busy mind to truly float away and the body have a well earned break.  The experience is extremely calming and leaves clients feeling energised, revitalised and better able to concentrate.

The massage is performed with the client in seated position which takes 35-45 minutes.  Oils may be used for part or all of the treatment. We start at the upper back and shoulders, relaxing the muscles and (hopefully) dissolving the knots. Then moving to the upper arms and neck where often tension is held and congestion can occur.  Once you are wrapped in warm towels, we then work the head  stimulating the meridians and pressure points to relax the energy of the body aswell as the muscles.  This encourages better circulation of the cerebral fluid. We finally finish with a gentle fascial type massage, again, using oils or not, depending on preference.

Please note that as I will need to access the upper back and shoulders, ladies may be advised to wear a 'strappy' top.  However you will be wrapped in towels for dignity and warmth.  Also note that your hair will be tousled and possibly oily and therefore you may prefer to give it a brush before leaving.
